Idaho Real Estate License Requirements
Sales Associate License Requirements
· 18 years of age
· Module 1 and 2 Sales Pre-license courses (90 hours)
· Complete fingerprint background check
· Idaho and national (general) sales associate license exam (click here for license exam info)
· Errors & Omissions Insurance (click here for info on RISC group E&O insurance)
· Proof of legal presence in U.S.
Broker License Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 18 years of age
- Minimum 90 hours of broker pre-license education (click here for specific course requirements)
- 2 years of active real estate sales experience within preceding 5 years
- Complete fingerprint background check
- State and national broker license exam (click here for license exam info)
- Errors & Omissions Insurance (click here for info on RISC group E&O insurance)
- Proof of legal presence in U.S.
Continuing Education Requirements
Every 2 years, all Salespersons and Brokers must complete a total of 16 elective hours of continuing education PLUS a 1-4 hour Commission prescribed and written core course (number of hours required varies year by year). There is a 4 hour core requirement for 2008 renewals. Renewal deadlines occur in the month in which the licensee has their birthday in.
