Every 2 years, all Salespersons and Brokers must complete a total of 16 elective hours of continuing and an Idaho Real Estate Commission Core Course. This package includes all mandatory and elective continuing education hours needed for renewal.
The package includes the following courses:
- 2008 Idaho Real Estate Commission Core (Approval # C2008) - 4hr Mandatory - This course fulfills the 2008 4 hour core requirement and provides students with an overview of case law, legislative updates, and hot topics affecting the practice of real estate in Idaho.
- Basics of Real Estate Taxation (Approval # E0582-0408) - This course brings the experience of a certified public accountant, attorney and avid real estate investor to share what all real estate licensees should know about the taxes associated with buying, owning, and selling residential real estate.
- The Mortgage Process (Approval # E0585-0408) - This course demystifies the entire mortgage process from the time a purchase contract is signed to the day the keys are handed over and how real estate professionals.

Taxes! Yuck, who wants to talk about taxes? This course brings the experience of a certified public accountant, attorney and avid real estate investor to share what all real estate licensees should know about the taxes associated with buying, owning, and selling residential real estate. By exploring such basic questions as “what is a residence?” the course provides students with a practical view of taxation that can be leveraged to better assist clients. One unit of the course is dedicated to the taxes associated with a home office, bringing immediate practical application to many agents.

Over 95% of all real estate purchases involve the procurement of one or more loans or mortgages. This content packed course demystifies the entire mortgage process from the time a purchase contract is signed to the day the keys are handed over and how real estate professionals can most appropriately and professionally participate in the process. The course provides practical tips, tools and steps agents can take to better serve clients before and during this critical stage of any transaction. Students are walked through each step including the application process, loan processing, underwriting and what all parties enjoy, the closing!

| Real Estate Appraisal for Agents |

How many times has the results or an appraisal caused a delay or even killed a deal? Few agents have a good understanding of the appraisal process and all that components that derive an appraised value of property. This course leverages decades of experience from seasoned appraisal experts who also are engaged in and have a real life understanding of the life of a real estate licensee. As a student of this course, you will learn the fundamentals of the appraisal process including the various methods of valuation and the steps and rationale commonly used. The course author draws upon vast experience including the results of thousands of appraisal reviews to help licensees understand the role of the appraisal. The information derived from this course will aid licensees in better understanding the appraisal process so they can better support their clients through the transaction process.
